Measight SNB-3 is a rotational viscometer with a 2.8-inch color display, timed measurement and RS232 communication. The listed standard Nos. 1–4 spindle configuration covers 10–6,000,000 mPa·s across its spindle/speed combinations. Lower-viscosity work requires the optional No. 0 configuration. Match the exact spindle, speed, temperature and test duration before using results for quality-control comparisons.
Values apply to the stated configuration and test conditions.
| Viscosity range | 10–6,000,000 mPa·sThe 1 mPa·s lower limit requires the optional No. 0 spindle / low-viscosity adapter. Usable range depends on spindle and speed. |
|---|---|
| Rotational speeds | 0.1, 0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 30, 60 rpm |
| Standard spindles | Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 |
| Display | 2.8-inch color IPS display |
| Accuracy | ±2% of full scale |
| Repeatability | ±1% of full scale |
| Sample volume | 250–400 mL |
| Temperature measurement | 0–200 °CRequires the optional PT100 probe. Temperature measurement does not provide sample temperature control. |
| Computer interface | RS232 |
| Power supply | AC 220 V ±10%, 50 Hz |
| Dimensions | 280 × 250 × 390 mm |
| Controller | ARM processor |

Tell us the sample type, estimated viscosity and test temperature. We will help confirm the spindle, container, accessories and supplied configuration for your workflow.
Discuss your sampleCompatible PC software can collect and plot viscosity against time or temperature and support programmed experiments. Confirm the software version and supported speed control for the supplied instrument. A PT100 probe is optional; a circulating bath and matching test cup are separate accessories for controlling sample temperature.
Optional accessories include a PT100 probe, thermostatic bath, No. 0 low-viscosity adapter, viscosity reference fluids, micro-printer, circulating test cup and data-processing software.
Compare SNB-3 with SNB-1, SNB-2. Choose by the required spindle/speed working range and record-keeping needs. The nominal maximum alone is insufficient, and the quoted instrument revision must establish the accuracy and available speed list.
For a SNB-3 quotation, provide the sample, expected viscosity and unit, test temperature, required method, sample volume and reporting needs. State the destination power supply and quantity. Ask for an itemised spindle, container, temperature-equipment and software configuration, together with the available model-specific documents.
Request a configuration quoteThe reviewed catalog lists 10–6,000,000 mPa·s with Nos. 1–4 spindles. Each spindle/speed combination covers part of that range. The optional No. 0 configuration is required for the lowest values shown in the overall catalog range.
A temperature probe measures temperature; it does not by itself heat or cool the sample. Confirm the probe supplied with the instrument and the separate bath, cup or conditioning equipment required by the test method.
