The adjustable lifting mechanism lets the operator align the spindle immersion mark with the sample surface. The same spindle covers the listed test range. The motor stops and raises an alarm if it stalls or the measurement exceeds the range.

For a STM-2 quotation, provide the sample, expected viscosity and unit, test temperature, required method, sample volume and reporting needs. State the destination power supply and quantity. Ask for an itemised spindle, container, temperature-equipment and software configuration, together with the available model-specific documents.

When should I consider the STM-2?
Consider this instrument when the paint or coating procedure calls for a Stormer/Krebs measurement in KU. Match the required method, sample preparation and temperature; a KU measurement is not automatically interchangeable with a different rotational-viscometer procedure.
Does the STM-2 temperature probe control the sample temperature?
A temperature probe measures temperature; it does not by itself heat or cool the sample. Confirm the probe supplied with the instrument and the separate bath, cup or conditioning equipment required by the test method.
